Positions Avaliable Tandem Contract Developers We are looking for several Tandem software engineers and programmers to write an upgrade to a client's POS systems using the following tools: Scobol Pathway TAL Cobol In addition, any understanding of accounting systems and how retailers process POS transactions on line using online transaction concepts would be appreciated. Client/Server Software Engineer Technical skills & Experience 3+ years of client server development experience using: Visual Basic or Visual C++ Oracle and/or SQL server A structured development approach with some exposure to OOP or OOD development techniques. Pluses Crystal Reports experience ASP experience PL/SQL programming experience Debugging and testing experience Description of Duties Overall, we are looking for experienced software engineers. Experience is needed in Oracle and/or SQL Server. It is critical that you be able to work autonomously while staying focused on the tasks at hand. You should have a history of learning on your own and have good problem-solving skills. Primary responsibilities Maintenance and enhancements of code. Has demonstrated unit and integration testing experience. Participation in project status reviews. Uses and understands development methodologies such as Booch, UML, and Rational Rose. Daily Tasks Developing, testing, and debugging code. Discussing requirements and design with project manager. Interacting with clients at detailed technical level as needed. Documentation of designs and code. Keeping timely and accurate log of daily project activities and time spent on each.
