Merchant Application Process

We have a simple four-step process to follow:

Step 1. Preview Demo and Trial Software

Step 2. Send application to First Data

You will contact Mike Gilmore at First Data Independent Sales to apply for a merchant account relationship. 

This should take about 15 minutes.  Mention AuthPayX or AuthPayXP as the product of choice.  Unlike other banks, there is no fee for this application.

Mike will need the following information to quote you the most competitive rates:

• $ volume,
• transaction volume,
• % of card swiped (card-present transactions),
• number of web/internet transactions as a percentage of your volume, and
• your current credit card processor.

Step 3. Approval

After approval, you are issued your Store Credentials, which consist of a special Permanent Store Key and a Permanent Store ID, that encodes your current bank’s routing information to insure that your customer’s funds are transferred to the right location.  You will need to save these two numbers to be added to your preferences section of the AuthPay product later on.  (It takes a few minutes).

Step 4. Download Live Software

Upon opening the live version of the AuthPayX (First Data) Client for the first time, you will be prompted to either enter a Serial Number or to purchase the software license from our Embedded online Web Store.
