SHOPKEEPER™ SOFTWARE AND PARALLEL SOFTWARE PARTNER TO PROVIDE INTEGRATED FILEMAKER PAYMENT SOLUTIONS ON THE MAC OS X™ AND WINDOWS™ PLATFORM

ShopKeeper Software, Inc a leading provider of high performance POS and business accounting software, and Parallel Software a premier Macintosh-based credit card and financial payments software engineering firm, today announced they have entered into a joint agreement to expand, distribute and support electronic payment technologies within the ShopKeeper FMP™ product line. These technologies will include Credit Card Authorizations, ACH, and Gift Card processing capabilities for the coming year.
According to Parallel's C.E.O and President John McMahon, “ShopKeeper’s FMP Family of products will offer the option of using Parallel’s AuthPayX FMP Client Plugin’s (for both Mac OS X and Windows users) and will be available to US and Canadian enterprises by January 1, 2004. This option will allow users of ShopKeeper ™ to have direct connection(s) to the major credit card processors without the need for a payment gateway. This will reduce ShopKeeper’s customer’s transaction costs and provide the ability to support several merchant bank relationships with a single server. This technology will allow ShopKeeper™ users to integrate all of their processing through a single Mac OS X or UNIX server machine.”
